    This is the question everyone asks, and the key insight is: the volume of water sets the concentration, not the amount of compound. The mass of peptide in the vial is fixed; adding more or less water just makes the solution more dilute or more concentrated.

  • Swab both stoppers Wipe the rubber tops of the peptide vial and the BAC water vial with a fresh alcohol pad and let them air-dry.
  • Draw your chosen volume Pull the calculated volume of bacteriostatic water into an insulin syringe.
  • Run it down the wall Angle the needle so the stream runs slowly down the inside glass — never blast water directly onto the powder cake.

    Storage and shelf life

    Unopened bacteriostatic water is fine at room temperature until its labelled expiry.
